On December 30, 2023, the International Scientific Conference on Telecommunication and IoT
Security was organised by the Scientific Cyber Security Association (SCSA), the ISOC IoT SIG
and the Internet Development Initiative (ID). The conference was held in a hybrid mode, and
participants, as well as speakers, had the opportunity to participate both on-site and remotely.
Speakers from Georgia, Ukraine, France and Uzbekistan participated in the conference. The
presentations were related to the authors’ scientific research and their results in the field of
telecommunications and public security, namely:
“Security challenges in cellular networks towards 6G” – Prof. Roman Odarchenko,
National Aviation University, Kyiv, Ukraine.
„AI/ML-based cryptography for advanced communication systems” – Prof. Sergiy
Gnatyuk, National Aviation University, Kyiv, Ukraine.
„Build your own inexpensive Hardware Hacking lab” – Hrishikesh Somchatwar,
Eurecom, France.
„A new challenges of the Internet Fragmentation” – Prof. Vladimer Svanadze, Internet
Development Initiative (IDI), Business and Technology University, Tbilisi, Georgia.
“The security and vulnerabilities of IoT devices” – Prof. Sherzod Gulomov, Tashkent
University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizm,

28th of December, International Scientific Conference on Telecommunication and IoT Security
was orginazed by Scientific Cyber Security Association - SCSA and Internet Development
Initiative - IDI under support ISOC IoT SIG.
Lado Svanadze and Maksim Iavich made a Welcome Speech.
The conference was attended by representatives of different countries. The speakers from 3

International Scientific Conference “Telecommunications and Cyber Security” –

2021 Year
On April 16, Caucasus University hosted an international scientific
conference “Telecommunications and Cyber Security”.
The topics of the conference were related to the communication and
cyber security. The event was attended by Georgian cyber security
experts as well as cyber security and telecommunications experts from
Ukraine.
The event is organized by Caucasus University, Scientific Cyber Security
Association and Georgian Academy of Technological Innovations.
The event was supported by Shota Rustaveli National Science
Foundation (within the framework of CARYS-19-121 grant).
The following reports were made within the framework of the
“International Telecommunications and Cyber Security” conference:

President of the Scientific Cyber Security Association.

Topic: Education in the field of cyber security.
– Sergei Gnatyuk, Professor, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Cyber

Topic: Quantum key distribution in 5G cellular networks and their
security.

Topic: Connection between 5G PPP projects: the way from the past and
the future.
– Giorgi Akhalaia, Lecturer in Cyber Security at Caucasus University.
Topic: Improved architecture of 5G cellular networks.
It should be noted that every research presented at conference will be
published in the Scientific & Practical Cyber Security Journal (SPCSJ).
